Ronald E. Duell, age 61, no permanent address
Suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.

Male, age 18, Madison

The victim said he gets along well with homeless people as they are "normally really nice and friendly." Such was not the case early Sunday afternoon. The 18-year-old was working at the Stop and Shop Grocery, 501 State St., when several customers told him they were having trouble accessing the business because a man was sprawled out on the pavement in front of the doors. The clerk went outside and told the man he needed to move. "He was just so eerily quiet and got so aggressive so quickly," the victim told a responding officer. When asked to find another location, the suspect pulled out a knife and extended the blade. He pointed it at the victim. Startled, disturbed and frightened, the clerk ran into the store and armed himself with a baseball bat. He looked out the window, and could see officers were already dealing with the suspect. Ronald E. Duell, age 61, was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
