UpdateThe MPD located a suspect who was arrested this morning on a tentative charge of hit-and-run causing great bodily harm. The victim, a 46-year-old Madison woman, remains hospitalized in stable condition with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

DetailsMotor Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Crash with Injuries – 3:12am. Madison Police Officers were dispatched to the intersection of E. Johnson Street/Wisconsin Avenue regarding a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Officers arrive on scene and find an unconscious, white female down in the roadway. There are no witnesses to what occurred, although based on evidence found on scene this appears to be a serious hit and run crash involving a pedestrian.
The female victim has not been positively identified at this time and was conveyed to a local hospital with serious injuries. The suspect vehicle has not been located. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a smaller 4-Door Sedan style vehicle, white in color with a moon roof.
The Madison Police Department will continue to investigate this incident but if anyone has any information regarding it, please contact the Madison Police Department of the Madison Area Crimestoppers program.
