Male, age 22, Madison


The victim said he was walking on the sidewalk when a dark-colored SUV pulled up near him. Someone inside the SUV started firing a gun. The 22-year-old was shot in the leg. Investigators say it appears he was specifically targeted and that this is likely part of an ongoing dispute.

Madison Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Mendota St. and Meriter Park Hospital for a male approximately 22 years of age with a gunshot wound. The victim arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound and is currently seeking medical attention. No suspect information at this time. The investigation is ongoing. If anyone has knowledge of the incident they are encouraged to contact the Madison Police Department or the Madison area Crimestoppers program.
