At 1:33 am MPD responded to a report of a shot being fired in a backyard of a residence in the 4000 block of Monona Dr.  There are no reports of injuries or damage as a result of that shot.  Officers responding to the area established a perimeter and began attempts to speak with the suspect male but those attempts have gone unanswered up to this point.  Additional tactical resources are being called into the area to help with the situation.  Monona Dr. between Cottage Grove Rd. and Buckeye Rd. is closed to through traffic for the time being.  Pertinent updates will be provided as they become available.
