On October 15, 2019 at approximately 9:56pm, Madison Police Officers were dispatched to Burlington Coat Factory located at 6905 Odana Road for a report of an Armed Robbery. The robbery occurred outside of the store in the parking lot.

A father and his 14-year-old daughter drove to Burlington Coat Factory to pay for some items previously placed on layaway. The daughter remained in the vehicle while the father (victim) exited and approached the store. Before getting inside, two male suspects jumped out from hiding and initiated verbal contact. Suspect # 1 then displayed a black handgun. The father was elbow checked; a scuffle ensued in which his glasses were broken, and jacket ripped. The suspects rifled through his pockets and stole an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot, heading toward the direction of Joann Fabrics.

Multiple Police Officers and a Sergeant responded to the area but the suspect were not appended. If anyone has any information regarding this armed robbery or witnessed it, please contact the Madison Police Department or Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
