The Heroes Path to Excellence in Public Service

Cost:  $75
NASW-WI CEU APPROVED

What is it that allows some to remain calm, focused, in control & confident, draw on their training & preparation, & perform heroically in the middle of tense, uncertain & rapidly evolving events? Why is it that when some, when faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles & challenges have the ability to rise above & succeed despite the magnitude of those challenges? What is it about the way these heroes, think, act, train, prepare & respond that allows them to perform at the highest levels? The stories of law enforcement, military personnel & public service professionals, ordinary men & women, who when faced with violent attacks, serious injuries, health issues & life's many other challenges, persevered, endured & found a way to be victorious will be examined throughout the day. This seminar may just change the way you think, the way you train & the way you live.

The Heroes Path to Excellence in Public Service will explore these very questions and provide simple, proven strategies that every public service professional can apply in his or her own life to guide them on the heroes path to personal and professional excellence.

The stories of law enforcement, military personnel and public service professionals, ordinary men and women, who when faced with violent attacks, serious injuries, health issues and life's many other challenges, persevered, endured and found a way to be victorious will be examined throughout the day. The lessons learned from these 'heroes' will come to life through their stories.

This engaging and inspiring seminar will build on three main themes:

? Life's Most Powerful Question – What's Important Now?

? "A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles." Christopher Reeves'

? Excellence in a Choice
