*What does anti-racist mean? Simply put, to be anti-racist means to be a person who opposes racism and promotes racial tolerance. Anti-racism is a process. It is actively and consciously identifying and opposing racism. The goal is to challenge racism and change the policies, behaviors and beliefs that perpetuate racist ideas and actions. You can make a difference by actively learning the things to identify and challenging your own beliefs. Systematic racism is all around us and we must each work within ourselves to challenge our own biases and pave the way for new thinking.
