City Service Updates

  • Most public buildings are closed until further notice. Many City services are available online or by mail. View service updates, or contact the agency with any questions.
  • All Madison Public Libraries are closed until further notice.
  • The Clerk's Office, police stations, and the City Treasurer are still open for visitors.
  • Metro Transit is running reduced service and following Saturday schedules all seven days of the week. Buses are also limited to 15 passengers plus the driver.
  • April 7 Election: Three book drops will be open for absentee ballot drop off between April 1 and noon on April 7. View the Clerk's Office full list of polling places. Make sure to check your polling place before voting, or request an absentee ballot. Curbside voting is available for high-risk voters.
  • Refuse and recycling pickup is continuing, but starting 30 minutes earlier at 6:30 am. Residents should have their carts out for collection by 6:30 am on their normal collection day.
  • Madison Water Utility is exempting late payment fees until further notice. Madison Water Utility never disconnects people because of unpaid bills.
