This 4-week program is for the new golfer. We will teach the basic fundamentals of golf: Proper grip, stance and swing. Throughout the 4-week program, the rules and etiquette of the game will be covered.

• Week 1 – Putting, Stance, Alignment and Grip

• Week 2 – Chipping and Pitching

• Week 3 – Irons and Woods

• Week 4 – Woods and open question  

4-week program/50 minute lessons:

• Program Cost:  $80/person

• Class size: 5-7 students per instructor

• Class times:  5:30 p.m.-  6:30 p.m. and 6:30p.m - 7:30 p.m. (four 50 minute lessons)

• To enroll:  Enrollment begins April 1.

This 5-week program is open to boys and girls. The program content will include: 5 one-hour lessons, range balls, USGA Rule Books, proper course etiquette and tournament information.  Course play will follow instruction.  All lesson dates are weather-permitting.  

Cost:       $80.00    (Green fees are NOT included.)
Yahara Hills Staff does encourage all participants in the Junior Golf Program to purchase the Season Junior Pass which covers green fees during all season or the Summer Junior Pass. The Passes are good at all 4 municipal courses.

Instructor:   
Joel Rechlicz is the head of instruction at Yahara Hills Golf course.  He is a former UW Men's Golf letter winner and a Big Ten Player of the Week.  He was a former Hooter's Tour player and has played in three US Public Links Championships. As a junior, he played at Edgewood High School. He won two team state titles and a state title as an individual in 1996. He also played in the USGA Junior National Championship. In Joel's absence, a PGA assistant will be the instructor.
