TIRE DISPOSAL FEE

What is the Tire Fee Program?
The City of Madison charges for the collection and disposal of tires.
A fee is charged for the collection of most tires. This fee also applies to tires brought into the drop off sites.

A $5 Fee is charged for the following:

  • Automobile Tires
  • Small Truck Tires
  • Motorcycle Tires

A $10 Fee is charged for the following:

  • Car, small truck, and motorcycle tires on rims
  • Large truck tires
  • Tractor tires

We do not accept large truck or tractor tires on rims. We do not accept tires from end loaders, graders, or other large equipment.

There is no fee for small trailer tires, bicycle tires, or golf cart tires.

How do I pay the fee?
You pay the fee by purchasing Tire Fee stickers, similar to those used in the Appliance Fee Program. For the Tire Fee Program we only sell $5 stickers. If you have a tire that requires a $10 fee you must purchase two $5 stickers.
