Profile, Statistics and Indicators

Neighborhood Description:	Located on the Madison's north side, the Majestic Oak Neighborhood is a manufactured housing community located near Dane County Airport. The namesake of the community, Majestic Oaks, is derived from the stand of magnificent oak trees at the entrance of the neighborhood. You will find a sense of community in this neighborhood: young families to empty nesters that care about their neighbors. This is evident in the neighborhood motto: Neighbors helping Neighbors. Residents come together at the annual summer picnic. A large turnout of this event strengthens the ties between neighbors as well as serves an opportunity for residents to suggest new projects to undertake. Residents are starting a neighborhood walk and setting the groundwork for a community garden.
Neighborhood Boundaries:	Darwin Drive on the south, Packers Avenue (County CV) on the west, County Government Service Road on the north and the Soo Line Railroad on the east.
Neighborhood Statistics Indicators:	The Neighborhood Indicators Project is a demonstration of key characteristics and various indicators that relate to the quality of life in Madison at the neighborhood level. Basic neighborhood information as well as housing, public safety, health and family well-being, economic, and transportation indicators by neighborhood is available.
Recent Accomplishments:	-Becoming recognized as a Neighborhood Association (May 2010).

Places of Interest:	Dane County International Airport, Lakeview Elementary School, Lakeview Public Library, Mallards Baseball Stadium, Northside Farmer's Market, and Warner Park Community Recreation Center
