GET INVOLVED

Mayor Cieslewicz encourages City of Madison residents to volunteer to serve. There are over 50 standing committees and at least that many more ad hoc and subcommittees that are created to assist city staff, the Common Council and the Mayor in making decisions that affect the citizens of the city. Committee positions are open to City of Madison residents.

Are you interested in serving on a city committee?

It's as easy as 1 - 2 - 3.

  1. View Listing of Boards, Commissions and Committees and Current Vacancies on Boards, Commissions & Committees
  2. Select committees you would like to serve on.
  3. Complete the committee application and Statement of Interests forms and submit them to the Mayor's Office, or call the Mayor's Office to request the forms.

Note: Nominees for appointment to a city board, commission or committee must file a "Statement of Interests" form with the City Clerk's Office prior to his/her name being submitted to the Common Council.
