By Neighborhood

We fund two types of activities: those which are focused on a particular neighborhood, and those which have a communitywide focus.

The neighborhood-focused activities are located within one of the neighborhoods which are part of the CDBG Target Area. These are census tracts where at least 51% of the individuals have incomes of 80% of the median income or less.

Community-focused activities are those which benefit lower income individuals wherever they live. Depending on the funding source we use, some activities serve residents within the City of Madison and some serve a larger area, such as Dane County.
