1. WELCOME — CHAIR'S REPORT
2. PUBLIC HEARING
Individuals wishing to address the Commission may register to speak. Speaking is limited to 3 minutes. Registered individuals representing projects listed on the agenda and wishing to speak will be called to speak when their item appears on the agenda.
3. STAFF REPORT
Trends in
national, state, and local community/neighborhood development issues and
budgets.
Correspondence
and reports from various groups and individuals.
Status of current projects, including a proposal on loan subordination for individuals.
4. REQUEST FOR MAJOR CHANGES IN CURRENTLY FUNDED PROJECTS OR FUNDING FOR NEW PROJECTS
Friends Community
Housing seeks Housing Development Funds to help it renovate and refinance
its Allied housing properties.
The
Carpenter-Hawthorne-Ridgeway-Truax Steering Committee, which grew out of the
concentration neighborhood planning process in this area, recommends that
residual funds from the Hawthorne Park project be used for a Mayfair Park
improvement project and for an East Isthmus Planning Council sign project.
Ms. Rene Bain requests approval of a subordination of the City HOME mortgage on her property to a new first mortgage.
5. SPECIAL PRESENTATION ON SURVEY OF NEIGHBORHOOD CENTERS
6. REVIEW OF THE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The Commission will review meeting minutes from its previous meeting.
7. CONFLICT OF INTEREST ISSUES
The CDBG Office has received no inquiries regarding potential conflicts of interest during the past month.
8. OTHER BUSINESS FOR ACTION
Issues and/or referrals to or from the Common Council
Updates on inclusionary zoning, the Housing Trust Fund, and other Council or Mayoral actions, including a
resolution establishing policies and guidelines to assist in making the decision to support Section 42 low-income housing tax credit and tax-exempt bond projects.
Reports from Committees with CDBG Commission Representation
Coordinating Council (Holland).
Housing Committee (DePula and King).
Community Gardens Committee (Silverman).
Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award Committee (Estante).
Other Commission representation.
Identification of Issues and Information for Future Topics
The Commission will identify discussion topics for its next several meetings.
