Welcome to the Office of Community
Services Seniors page.
Direct services for seniors are provided by
many agencies throughout the city. If you
are looking for help for yourself or your parents,
the best place to start is with one of Madison's
four senior coalitions. The coalitions are
area based (west, south, northeast and east).
If you need help or information you can call
the coalition in the area where you live:
The coalitions are a great source of
information on any senior-related activity,
program or services (e.g. what kinds of senior
housing are available). They have case
managers who coordinate services for those who
need more in-depth help. They manage
nutrition sites and can tell you where the nearest
one is. They provide exercise activities,
education classes, wellness events, health
screenings, social activities (cards, bingo) and
home chore services.
The City's
Senior Service Coordinator, Gray Williams,
oversees the City-funded senior programs.
