Welcome to the Office of Community Services Seniors page.

Direct services for seniors are provided by many agencies throughout the city.  If you are looking for help for yourself or your parents, the best place to start is with one of Madison's four senior coalitions.  The coalitions are area based (west, south, northeast and east).

If you need help or information you can call the coalition in the area where you live:

East Madison/Monona Coalition of the Aging 223-3100 www.danenet.wicip.org/emmcoa/
North/Eastside Senior Coalition 243-5252 www.nesco.org
South Madison Coalition of the Elderly 251-8405
West Madison Senior Coalition 238-7368 www.westmadisonseniorcoalition.org

The coalitions are a great source of information on any senior-related activity, program or services (e.g. what kinds of senior housing are available).  They have case managers who coordinate services for those who need more in-depth help.  They manage nutrition sites and can tell you where the nearest one is.  They provide exercise activities, education classes, wellness events, health screenings, social activities (cards, bingo) and home chore services.

The City's Senior Service Coordinator, Gray Williams, oversees the City-funded senior programs.
