Yesterday, 3/18/2021, the Madison PD conducted an enhanced traffic enforcement project on University Ave focusing on seatbelt use.
Over the course of project officers conducted a total of 27 stops, 23 of which were for seatbelt violations.
According to NHTSA: One of the safest choices drivers and passengers can make is to buckle up. Many Americans understand the lifesaving value of the seat belt – the national use rate was at 90.7% in 2019.
