Yesterday, Monday, 7/12, Officers from the Madison Police Department conducted an enhanced enforcement project on E Washington Ave focussing on speeding and other hazardous moving violations. Officers were in the area of E Washington Ave and Ingersol St, which is a 25 MPH zone.
During this project officers stopped a total of 24 vehicles for speeding, with 1 vehicle fleeing from the attempted traffic stop. All vehicles stopped were traveling at least 14 MPH over the posted limit.
