This week, Officers from the Madison Police Department will be conducting enhanced enforcement projects throughout the city. While traffic enforcement will occur in other areas of the city as well, we have projects scheduled to focus on hazardous driving in the area of E Washington Ave, Hwy 30, Johnson/Gorham St, the Beltline, and University Ave.
While these projects allow us to focus on particular problematic areas, traffic enforcement occurs daily by our Traffic Enforcement and Safety Team (TEST), Patrol Officers, Community Police Teams etc.
These additional enforcement projects are made possible through traffic overtime grants provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and conducted in partnership with the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
