HOW POTHOLES OCCUR
Potholes are a fact of life in Wisconsin. Cycles of freezing and thawing and moisture erode the road base which creates pavement stress. Stressed pavement and traffic combine to cause potholes.

Weather permitting, it is the goal of the Pothole Patrol to respond to pothole reports, no later than the next working day.
If weather is bad, it could take longer to get the pothole patched.
