Beach Details

Due to the eroding shoreline, we are unable to safely bring maintenance equipment to the beach. While the beach at Olin Park is not officially closed, visitors will notice an increase in seaweed and may prefer to use nearby Bernie's Beach.

Public Health Madison & Dane County

Public Health Madison - Dane County tested bacteria levels at the beaches on July 17, 2018. The results were acceptable. The shallow, near-shore water temperature was 79.6°F. Algae levels vary over time depending on waves and wind. Use common sense and avoid contact with algal blooms that you may observe. Do not let children or pets play in areas where blue-green algae blooms are evident.
