Report a Problem and Service Requests
Please use this service to report Non-Emergency issues only. These reports help us identify maintenance items noted in normal operations. If the maintenance item is an Emergency condition, please call 911 or for emergency water issues please call the MADISON WATER UTILITY at (608)266-4665, 24hrs/day.

Brush Collection: Report missed pick-up, service complaint, and/or request for information.

Dead Animal Collection:
Report a dead animal.
Please note: The City of Madison does not pick up dead deer; it falls under the
jurisdiction of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WIDNR). You can contact the
WIDNR at (608) 275-3266.

Drinking Water Quality and Pressure:
Report Drinking Water Quality and Pressure concerns.
In case of a water main leak in the street or other emergency,
please call Madison Water Utility's 24-hour operator at (608) 266-4665.

- Exterior Housing
- Graffiti Information: Report where it is located.
- Interior Housing Problem(s)
- Mailbox: Report a mailbox damaged by a City snow plow.
- Parking Enforcement: Report a parking enforcement concern.
- Pothole Concern: Report a pothole.

Recycle Collection:
Report missed pick-up, new bin request, and/or request for information.

Refuse Collection:
Report missed pick-up, and/or request for information.

Sewer Access Covers (Man Hole Covers):
Report a problem regarding a sewer access cover, water valve cover, and a blocked sewer inlet.

Sidewalk Concern: Report a sidewalk concern.

Snow Removal:
Report a street not plowed, street not sanded, or a sidewalk not cleared.
- Storm Damage: The City of Madison is collecting private property storm-related damage in the event FEMA assistance becomes available to our area. Please note that any such assistance would be administered directly by FEMA.
- Traffic Enforcement: Report a traffic violation.
- Traffic Signals, Street Lights and Signs Requests: Report a street light out, or signs down.
PLEASE NOTE: A Street light is a fixture on a pole that lights the street.
It is not a Traffic Signal; a Traffic Signal is the red, yellow or green lights,
which control traffic at an intersection. To report a Traffic Signal out of order during normal business hours,
call Traffic Engineering at 266-4767. During any other time, call 911.

Tree Concerns:
Report debris, diseased trees, limbs elevated, on power lines, or damaged from a storm.

Weeds and Overgrown Vegetation:
Report tall grass or noxious weeds.

General requests: Report a general problem.
