The South Police District encompasses the areas of the City of Madison which are south of the south shoreline of Lake Mendota, and the areas south of Regent Street and Speedway. The South District is bounded to the east by Monona Avenue, and on the West by Seminole Highway.

During April, the Madison Police Department addressed 2,555 incidents in the South District. That is an average of 85 incidents per day. Most incidents are calls for service from citizens. These calls could be for reports of crime, but could also be for non-criminal occurrences … [read more]

South District Officers joined some 4th graders for the "Lincoln Fun Run" this week. Officers provided a bike escort for the young runners and even participated in some Zumba exercises! Thanks to the students and staff at Lincoln Elementary for a fun afternoon! [read more]
