SOUTH DISTRICT

The South Police District encompasses the areas of the City of Madison which are south of the south shoreline of Lake Mendota, and the areas south of Regent Street and Speedway. The South District is bounded to the east by Monona Avenue, and on the West by Seminole Highway.

South District Officers Arrest Burglar Saturday Night:

Officers reponded to the Beth Israel Centar at 1406 Mound Streeet shortly after midnight Saturday and arrested a subject who was caught burglarizing the facility. A youth worker working late that night heard the intruder make entry and called MPD.

Arr Person = Dallace Beasley 45 years old
Charges: Burglary,possession of burglary tools, felony probation violation and baiil jumping (for other crimes who was released from jail on).

The suspect was in possession of cash and jewelry from the center and a screw driver when he was taken into custody.
