On September 15th, the City of Madison Engineering Division will begin a project within Eastmorland Park to replace the existing concrete cunette with a new concrete cunette of similar size and alignment. The detention basin west of Woodman's will also be regraded as part of this project.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of November. The contractor is permitted to work between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. Heavy equipment and truck traffic, for the most part, will be adjacent to the concrete channel, but is permitted throughout the park as needed. Residents are encouraged to avoid the construction site and advised to prevent children and pets from playing near equipment, disturbed areas, or felled trees.
The City has assigned Paul Lauby to be the Construction Inspector for this project. The Inspector's role is to see that the City's standards for construction are met and to help resolve any problems that may arise during construction. If during the project you should have any questions regarding the construction, you can reach Paul at 608-520-2378. John Fahrney, Construction Engineer, is in charge of the construction inspection program for the City. He can be reached at 266-9091.
Please contact Sally Swenson, the Project Engineer, at 266-4862, or email email@example.com, with any other questions regarding the project.
