Rhythm and Booms Update - At last year's event we experienced fights and disturbances in the midway area. In an effort to minimize this type of behavior, we are working with event organizers to make a few changes to the Midway area. Similar to the changes made in recent Halloween events downtown, we are restricting points of access and having private security and police personnel monitor those access points. These changes will help decrease anonymity among troublemakers in the crowd and improve our ability to more quickly identify them.

In addition, the Midway will be closed at 8pm, as most the problems in the past few years in that area occurred after hours of darkness.

We ask that parents be mindful of the activities of their teenage children, and urge that this event be used as a time to do things together as a family, rather than sending kids to the Midway area without adult supervision.

Thanks for your help in making this a safe family event!
