Reindahl Park, found on Madison's beautiful and historic East side, is a dynamic place where you can enjoy a wide variety of activities.  Versatile recreation areas and expansive separation between playing fields make this an ideal place for anyone of any skill level. There is also a large, open grassy area equipped for an assortment of activities such as cricket or other free style sports. Although this is a sports accommodating park, with its spacious scenery it is also an exemplar place to engage in more leisurely activities. Lay out a blanket and soak up some sun, take the children to the park, or have lunch in the shelter. The large, open grassy area is also the perfect place to fly a kite or have a picnic. A community garden is located here as well.

Because there is plenty of free parking and lots of play equipment for the kids, the reservable shelter is a great place for your next family reunion, birthday or retirement party, and even company picnics. This park is conveniently located off of East Washington Avenue and easily accessible from the interstate, downtown Madison, and surrounding communities. So come find your way to Reindahl Park!

A new splash pad will open at Reindahl Park!

The proposed splash pad will include construction of an over 2200 square foot interactive water attraction featuring spray toys and fountains for children of all ages.  Like the Cypress Spray Park located on the city's south side, this will be free, public facility open during summer months beginning in 2014. The proposed splash pad will include water conserving equipment such as low flow features and a recirculating water capture and reuse system which will treat and reuse splash pad water within the system, along with associated amenities for the splash pad area.

Madison Parks held a public input meeting to discuss the Reindahl Park Splash Pad on February 19th at Sandburg Elementary School.

Reindahl Park, located at 1818 Portage Road, and will feature several new improvements in the next 5 years including the proposed splash pad, athletic facility enhancements, and new shelter landscaping.  Currently this park is home to a major soccer complex, reservable shelter, playground, basketball court, community gardens, and tennis courts.

The proposed concept plan and Reindahl Park Master Plan amendment will go to the City of Madison Board of Park Commissioners on March 13th.
