Due to continued concerns about poor air quality, residents with a scheduled Thursday collection day who have their trash/recycling collected from an alleyway, dead-end, or one-way street may have their pickup delayed until Friday, June 30, 2023.

All residents who have scheduled collection day for June 29, 2023 should place their collection carts out for emptying by 6:30am as normal.

Residents who place their carts on alleyways, dead-ends, or one-way streets may not get their cart(s) emptied until Friday, June 30, 2023, however.

Alleyways dead-ends, and one-way streets are often collected manually with brown rear-loading trucks instead of the more modern blue collection vehicles with the robotic arms that allows the vehicle operator to stay in the collection vehicle. And due to the poor air quality, the rear-loading vehicles will not be used for trash and recycling collection on Thursday, June 29, 2023.

Air quality is expected to improve by Friday morning, so collection will occur during that time for any stop we were unable to serve on Thursday.
