Our counter service is open to the public during our regular office hours Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. You can also contact us by mail, email, fax or phone.

No in-person court appearances are allowed until further notice. All court appearances will happen by mail, email, fax, or phone. You must contact the court on or before your scheduled court date. If you do not, you will be found guilty of the charges in your ticket, citation, or complaint.

You must give the court your current mailing address.

You can make payments by mail or online.

About Municipal Court

The City of Madison Municipal Court represents the judicial branch of government. We provide friendly and efficient service to all court users, keeping in mind legal and ethical requirements.

The Municipal Court provides a neutral setting for hearing City Ordinance cases. We handle about 26,000 cases per year.
