Public Involvement Meeting - US 51 South Corridor Study

posted

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) invites you to it's first public involvement meeting introducing the US 51 (Stoughton Road) South Study. This study covers 4.7 miles from Voges Rd/Terminal Dr in McFarland to WIS 30 in Madison and focuses on addressing safety, mobility, and connectivity issues for all modes of travel on the Stoughton Road South corridor, especially identifying areas of concern that should be addressed with future transportation projects.

All of us travel this corridor and due to these experiences, many have reached out expressing concern about traffic, pedestrian and bicyclist safety. Input from residents, business owners, and commuters who utilize this corridor will be of vital importance to this study. If you have time, please revisit a previous blog post I published about the first stakeholder meeting I attended about this study and data about

The meeting will take place:

Thursday, July 20, 2023 | 5 - 6:30pm

Saint Dennis Church (The Parish Center – 2nd Floor)

505 Dempsey Road

Madison, WI 53714

The meeting facility is ADA-compliant and wheelchair accessible. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may request an interpreter by contacting the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711) at least seven working days prior to the meeting date. A Spanish-speaking translator will be provided at the meeting.
