Severe Weather Expected to Affect Metro Service on Thursday, December 20

With a severe winter storm expected overnight, Metro operations and management staff will assess the weather and roadways at 4:00 AM on Thursday, December 20. Metro's goal is to always operate according to regular posted schedules. However, due to severity of expected storm, passengers should prepare for the possibility of a delay to the start of service or the possible cancellation of service altogether for the day on Thursday. If service does operate, delays can be expected throughout the day. Any possible service start delay or cancellation will be decided at 4:00 AM Thursday morning. Passengers are encouraged to stay informed of any service update by signing up for winter weather text and email alerts at mymetrobus.com/alerts. Information will be distributed via email/text messages at approximately 4:15-4:30 AM Thursday morning. Information will also posted at mymetrobus.com, recorded information will be available at (608) 266-4466, and updates distributed to local media at approximately the same time.
