The master plan construction at Cardinal Glenn Park has been completed! Construction of several of the new facilities including an accessible path, playground improvements including new surfacing, adding 2-5 year old playground equipment and edge restraints, a new open-sided, reservable sun shelter and landscaping improvements including tree plantings were finished in fall 2016. The trees will continue to be maintained throughout the 2017 growing season to help to ensure their survival.
The City of Madison held a public input meeting regarding the project on January 14, 2016 at City of Madison Fire Station #12 (400 S Point Road). Staff used input gathered from this meeting to work with the playground equipment manufacturer to refine the playground equipment options to target the 2-5 age range at the request of the neighborhood. These options were shared with the neighborhood and owner's association for final voting purposes.
Below is a summary along with the exhibits that were presented at the public input meeting.
