Monday's Plan Commission Meeting

posted

Hi Everyone.

Next Monday, May 11, Edgewood's application for a conditional use permit to install lights for night games will be on the Plan Commission agenda.

I had asked Edgewood to refer their application given the pandemic. Older residents struggle with the technology for virtual meetings and stress levels are sky high. Besides, it's not clear when contact sports like football will be permitted.

Edgewood declined so we're moving forward with the public hearing.

The City of Madison is holding this Plan Commission meeting virtually to help protect our community from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Monday's meeting will result in one of four outcomes.

  1. Edgewood's application is approved without conditions.
  2. Edgewood's application is denied.
  3. Plan Commission refers or delays the decision to a later date for a specific reason.
  4. Edgewood's application is approved with conditions.

Tomorrow I will post my thoughts as to which outcome I'll be recommending to Plan Commission and why.

Stay safe.
