Investigators Looking Into Suspicious Vehicle Fire

City of Madison Police Detectives and Madison Fire investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding a vehicle fire. On Thursday, June 18, 2009, at approximately 1:10 PM, Madison Police and Fire personnel received reports of a vehicle fire at 6769 Schroeder Road. Madison Police arrived first and directed Engine 7 to a rear parking lot of Willow Pointe apartment complex, where they arrived to find a vehicle heavily involved in smoke and flames. The fire did not cause any damage to a nearby two-story apartment building. Firefighters quickly and swiftly extinguished the fire, and reported no injuries. The Madison Police and Fire Investigation Team has determined the fire to be intentionally set. Anyone with information on this vehicle fire is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
