Photo Exhibit Open during October

The Madison Senior Center is proud to announce the photography winners for the 2010 A PHOTO AFFAIR contest. Dane County photographers 55 years and older were invited to submit photographs for judging. The show highlights the outstanding photographic talent and skill of older adults in Dane County. Three professional judges, Wayne Brabender, Dave Peterson and Daryl Sherman, awarded cash prizes and bestowed honors on the photographers. Best of Show was "Banjo" by Steven Swanson; Award of Excellence went to "Face Painting" by Judith Landsman; and Thomas Brotherton's "African Lion at Vilas Zoo" and Steven Swanson's "Market Square - Tallin Estonia" won the two Judges' Choice Awards. Honorable Mention awards went to "Tulip 1" by Caroline Hoffman; "One little Girl in Blue" by Kathryn Lederhause; "Azalea Moment" by Jim Stephenson; and "Antique Shop Window" and "Sailing Past the Statue" by Steven Swanson. The exhibit runs October 1 through October 29. Photos are displayed all month and can be viewed weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Madison Senior Center, 330 W. Mifflin Street Madison, WI 53703.
