Celebrate National Senior Center Month

The Madison Senior Center will host its second annual Health and Resource Fair on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm in celebration of its 30th anniversary. In conjunction with National Senior Center month, the fair encourages everybody to become an "Expert at Living Well." Learn all about the latest trends in health and wellness, and discover new resources for senior living, retirement planning and living a positive life. It is free and open to the public! The Fair will benefit older adults age 55 plus with various health screenings, educational presentations, snacks and exciting door prizes. Keep yourself in check with free screenings including: Blood Pressure, Bone Density, Blood Glucose and Lipids, Falls Prevention and Strengthening, Hearing and Swallowing, Blood Oxygen, Posture Screening, Eye Pressure, Bladder Questionnaires; Balance Testing, Ear Screening and Hearing Aid Cleaning, and Cardiac Risk Analysis. Increase your awareness of problems relevant to older adults with our educational presentations on Sleep Apnea, Scams Targeting Seniors and Weight Management with Age.
