1 Dead, 4 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Hwy 30 & Fair Oaks

City of Madison Fire Department was dispatched to Hwy 30 and Fair Oaks for a multi-vehicle crash around 7:00 this morning. The following crews responded to the crash scene: MFD Ladder 8, Engine 8, Medic 8, Medic 5, Medic 10, Car 31 and Blooming Grove Medic 64. After City of Madison Fire crews were initially on the scene, it was determined the crash occurred in the Town of Blooming Grove. At least 6 vehicles were involved. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Four patients were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Law Enforcement Officers on scene diverted traffic onto East Washington Avenue. Dane County Sheriff's Department will oversee crash site.
