City of Madison Disc Golf Courses are Open for the Season

The baskets are up at both Elver Park and Hiestand Park! It’s time to play!

Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports and is fun for all and easy to learn!  To play a round of disc golf is low cost, low impact exercise, and a great way to explore Madison’s Parks.   City of Madison Parks’ disc golf courses are located at Hiestand Park, 4302 Milwaukee Street and Elver Park, 1250 McKenna Blvd.

Daily $5.00
Annual $40.00
Free for kids ages 16 and under.
 
How to purchase a permit
Permits are now on sale. Permit applications are available at the kiosks at the courses, in the Madison Parks administration office, 210 MLK Jr. Blvd, Suite 104, at two retail stores: (EAST) Glide - Disc Golf Pro Shop, 4222 Milwaukee St, Suite 7 and (WEST) Play it Again Sports, 6674 Odana Rd and on-line.

Want to Learn How to Play Disc Golf?
Glide, a Madison area disc golf pro shop, is offering a series of free clinics for aspiring disc golfers of all ages. These clinics are intended for all skill levels and will include a brief history of the game, basic overview of the rules, demonstration of equipment and throwing techniques, and an opportunity for individual and group instruction. Don't have enough allowance to buy a disc golf disc? If you are 17 years old or younger and are one of the first 1,000 participants to attend this clinic you will receive a FREE DISC compliments of the Madison Area Sports Commission's Youth Grant! So come learn this exciting sport!
 
The first two dates for Free Clinics are:
Saturday, May 17, 10a.m.-noon at Hiestand Park
Sunday, May 18, 10a.m.-noon at Elver Park
