Street Closure--South Broom Street

posted

Starting 6:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 6, southbound (outbound) South Broom Street will be fully closed from West Wilson Street to John Nolen Drive for the reconstruction of the railroad crossing related to the Broom/Wilson Street Reconstruction project.  This is in addition to the existing northbound (inbound) closure of South Broom Street.

Outbound traffic on South Bassett Street will be detoured using West Doty Street to North Bedford Street to North Shore Drive (see attached map).  The inbound Broom Street closure from John Nolen Drive will remain the same.

This closure starts Wednesday, September 6 and is expected to end Saturday, September 16.

Once the railroad crossing has been reconstructed, there will be an outbound lane open on South Broom Street from West Wilson Street to John Nolen Drive.

Metro Transit’s existing detour will not be changed by this closure.
