Ice Rink and Ski Trail Update - February 24

Tenney and Vilas Park ice rinks will be open for skating this weekend. Vilas Park has skating only at the figure-skating rink. The lagoon and hockey rink are closed. Tenney Park has several areas that are unsafe and are barricaded. Both Tenney and Vilas Park shelters will be open on Friday at 2p.m and on the weekend at 11a.m. The rinks may close early due to conditions or lack of skater participation. Elver Park ice-skating is closed. The ski trails are open at Elver Park, Odana Golf Course, Owen Conservation Park, South Cherokee Marsh, Monona Golf Course and Turville Woods. Ski rental will be available at Elver Park and at Odana Golf Course. Odana Golf Course rentals are available Saturday and Sunday from 8:30a.m.-4:30p.m. Elver Park ski rentals will be available beginning Friday at 2p.m. and on the weekend beginning at 11a.m. The rentals may close early due to conditions or lack of skier participation. Ski Passes are required at Elver and Odana. The lights are on at Elver Park. Elver Park Shelter will be open as a warming house for people using the sledding hill. However, the Elver Park ice rink is closed.
