Lane on Campus Drive Closed

The right hand lane on the inbound side of Campus Drive will be closed at Highland Ave at least through the morning rush hour. A “blow out” has caused severe pavement buckling that will require a major repair before the lane can be used by traffic. “As of 3:45 p.m. Streets Division crews were working to repair inbound Campus Drive at Highland Av,” spokesperson George Dreckmann said. “Our crews will be able to fix the left hand lane, but the damage to the other lane will require a major repair that will have to wait until Friday morning.” “At this time, we cannot be sure when the right hand lane will be open, but we know it will not be ready in time for the morning commute,” Dreckmann said. “People who use Campus Drive to get downtown or to campus in the morning should use Madison Metro or use an alternate route.”
