While winter officially begins December 21, please remember that Mother Nature decides when these outdoor winter sports can start, not the Parks Division! This year the City of Madison Parks and Madison Ice Inc. are offering group ice skating lessons for beginners of all ages at our premier outdoor skating rinks at Elver and Tenney parks.

February 8, 2012 - Colder temperatures have allowed staff to get a few of the outdoor ice rinks open again. Please note that only parts of Tenney Park and Vilas Park lagoons are open. Unsafe areas are barricaded off.
