Winter Recreation Parties

Make the most of winter and plan a fun, winter recreation party! These events are dependent of the weather and amenity conditions and subject to change.

Cross-Country Skiing Party

Reserve your own cross-country skiing party at Elver Park and Odana Hills Golf Course!

Party Includes

  • Exclusive use of the shelter
    • Potential date and time options can be found in the Reservation Portal. Dates and availability are subject to change based on the weather or trail conditions.
  • Onsite restrooms, open to the public
  • Onsite staff exclusive to your group
  • Picnic tables and benches available inside and outside the shelter

Cost

  • $35 per one-hour party, includes cross-country ski passes for each participant for use during event
  • Credit cards accepted
  • Pay at time of reservation

Ski Equipment Options

  • Bring your own
  • Pay individually onsite
    • Adults $9/hour
    • Youth (15 and younger): $5/hour
    • Each addition hour: $5

Food & Beverage

  • Concessions are available at posted prices. Credit cards are accepted.
  • Individuals may bring their own food or beverage.
  • No glass is permitted at any park.

  • All reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance. Payment is due upon reservation.

Cancellations and Inclement Weather Policy

  • No refunds will be offered for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to event date.
  • Cancellations or changes made to an existing reservation made 7 days or more prior to event date will be charged a $10 administrative fee.
  • If an event is cancelled due to inclement weather, Madison Parks will make every effort to reschedule your reservation at no additional charge.

Ice Skating Party

Reserve your own ice skating party at Elver, Tenney or Vilas!

Party Includes

  • Exclusive use of the shelter

  • Onsite restrooms, open to the public
  • Onsite staff exclusive to your group
  • Picnic tables and benches available inside and outside the shelter

Cost

  • $35 per one-hour party
  • Credit cards accepted
  • Pay at time of reservation

Ice Skate Options

  • Bring your own
  • Pay individually onsite - figure or hockey
    • Adults $6/hour
    • Youth (15 and younger): $3/hour
    • Each addition hour: $2
  • Pay $60 at time of reservation for up to 30 skates for one hour; sizes not required at time of reservation.
    • Sizes available
      • Youth: Y7-4
      • Women's: 5-12
      • Men's: 5-14
    • Pick up skates from concessions
    • IMPORTANT: Due to limited quantities of each size, skaters may need to be flexible in the type or size of ice skate available.

Food & Beverage

  • Concessions are available at standard posted prices.
  • Individuals may bring their own food or beverage.
  • Alcohol (beer or wine) is permitted at Elver and Vilas only. Tenney Park requires an alcohol permit ($50), paid in advance with reservation.
  • No glass is permitted at any park.
