The East Police District has a population of approx. 48,957. We have 310 miles of roads and 23 neighborhood associations.
Traffic complaints are coming in hot and heavy right now, all over the district. When making a complaint, just be aware that we have many miles of roads to cover and only 1 dedicated traffic officer assigned to our district! We also have a Community Policing Team that will run directed traffic enforcement efforts at times, but they also have many other assignments as well.
Please try to understand we are doing our best, we are pulled in many directions, so at times, it is hard to fulfill everyone's requests for more traffic enforcement.
