Metro's Office Location Closed on Thursday, October 16
Metro's office location will be closed on Thursday, October 16 while the office is moved to its new location at 1245 E. Washington Ave. Metro customer service representatives will continue to be available during regular office hours throughout the day Thursday.
Absentee Voting and Registration for November 4 Election
The Clerk's Office will extend its hours for absentee voting beginning Monday, October 13, and will be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Absentee voting in the Clerk's Office ends at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 3. For more information, visit the Election website.
Fall Leaf Collection
The City of Madison will begin the annual Fall Leaf Collection on Monday, October 6, 2008. The Streets Division will continue to collect leaves as long as the weather permits through late November and early December.

2009 Executive Operating Budget
Mayor Dave Cieslewicz will formally introduce his 2009 executive operating budget at the Common Council meeting on October 7. The Council will debate and vote on the budget the week of November 10.
2009 Executive Capital Budget
Mayor Dave Cieslewicz will introduce his 2009 capital budget at the Sept. 9 Common Council meeting. The Mayor's capital budget comes in $7.3 million under the original target.
