October 18, 9a.m. to noon, Cherokee Marsh, 6098 N. Sherman Ave.

Join us for Hikes and Hayrides AND a special Walk with a Doc in the very beautiful Cherokee Marsh.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Join Dr. Lee Wilke for this special Walk with a Doc event combined with the beautiful Hikes and Hayrides event at Cherokee Marsh. Dr. Lee Wilke is the Director of the UW Health Breast Center, and is a board certified surgeon. She specializes in benign and malignant diseases of the breast, sentinel lymph-node mapping, minimally invasive breast surgery, as well as neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer. Dr. Wilke also does research on new methods for treating breast cancer.  Her research on breast self-exams was featured in O, The Oprah Magazine in 2010. Join Dr. Wilke for a brisk, Saturday morning walk through Cherokee Marsh North Unit! She will speak about the basics of breast cancer, with opportunities for you to ask questions while hiking through Cherokee Marsh.
In addition to the special Walk with a Doc, guided hikes will be provided by the Friends of Cherokee Marsh. Hayrides will be given from 9-noon and no reservations are needed! Hayrides will cost only two dollars a person. This is a great way to spend the morning with friends and family while enjoying Madison outdoors during its rustic fall season.
