    July 18, 2025 schedule change: Tot time ONLY today from 1pm to 3pm. No Open Recreation Swim due to a Dive Meet. 

  2. New Goodman Pool Rule Starts July 17

    New Goodman Pool Rule: Starting Thursday, July 17, all children aged 11-15 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult aged 18 years or older, with proof of age.

Madison's first municipal swimming pool opened in 2006, funded by a $2.8 million donation from philanthropists Irwin A. and Robert D. Goodman. They stipulated that groundbreaking must occur by July 2005, prompting the City and the Madison Parks Foundation to dive into action. The pool is officially named in their honor.
