Streets crossing State Street will begin closing at 5:00 p.m. for Freakfest on Saturday, October 29th. Lake Street, Gilman Street, Johnson Street, and Dayton Street will all close at 5:00 p.m. Gorham Street will stay open until 6:00 p.m. in order to allow UW football traffic to the Camp Randall area for the Nebraska v. Wisconsin game which has a 6:00 p.m. kickoff. Streets will be closed until approximately 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 30th. A map of the closures is located here.
From approximately 8:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m., Madison Police will set up traffic turning restrictions at the intersection of South Bassett Street and West Washington Avenue in order to create a Johnson Street detour for the traffic exiting the UW football game.
Event gates will be open from 7:00 p.m. until the 1:30 a.m.
All bikes will be removed from the entire length of State Street on Saturday.
