This In-Service training will focus on GPS technology that will assist Law Enforcement and 911 Emergency Dispatch Centers to receive information of a felony in progress such as an armed bank robbery, robbery/burglary of a retail business such as an iPhone store, high end retail, a pharmacy, and other applications. GPS technology uses a secured website that is called the Tracker Tool to activate cell and GPS when an event is in progress. An agency will have a unique username/password for their own use. This course is designed for Officers, Supervisors, Investigators, Command Staff, and 911 dispatchers/Supervisors. Attendees will gain a thorough understanding of how a GPS alert comes to the dispatch center, how dispatch and LE will fully understand the Tracker Tool, and be able to actively dispatch, track, and apprehend an offending felon in a very short period of time.
