This course provides Officers with techniques and tactics to better enhance their abilities to deploy with ballistic shields. Instruction includes shield use in building clears, live fire range drills, and force on force scenarios. Students will learn shooting techniques and tactics that apply to both Patrol Officers and SWAT Officers. All instructors are MPD SWAT officers who deploy ballistic shields regularly in Patrol settings and SWAT operations.
