18-Story Mixed-Use Development Project on Olin Ave goes to UDC this Wednesday

The new development proposed by McGrath Property Group on Olin Ave has received a lot of attention due to its scale as the largest mixed-use project proposed to date in Madison.

Though located in District 14 and outside the boundary of District 13, the site location at 222-232 E. Olin Ave will have a direct impact on Bay Creek residents – Bay Creek is the residential neighborhood closest to the site.

The Urban Design Commission (UDC) will hold a public hearing this Wednesday, July 14, at 4:30pm. This is an opportunity for neighbors to provide feedback on the project. The applicant, McGrath Property Group, is seeking final approval from UDC.

The food scraps recycling program at the Streets Division drop-off sites will end on July 17, 2021.  After that date, residents who had been using the food scraps program should instead place the food scraps into the trash, or find alternative composting options, such as available private services or composting appropriate scraps in backyard bins.  Read more here.
